Job Overview

Mr. Handyman is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Remodeling Project Manager & Sales Consultant to lead and grow our large-project division. This role is ideal for a driven professional with a strong background in residential construction, sales, and project management who can manage projects from initial customer consultation through final completion.

This is not an entry-level project management role. We are seeking a seasoned construction professional who can independently sell, manage, and lead large residential remodeling projects.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in kitchen and bath remodels, decks, roofing, siding, and other large residential improvement projects. This person must be confident working directly with homeowners, developing project scopes and estimates, sourcing and managing subcontractors, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

This is a high-impact position with strong earning potential for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with homeowners to assess project needs and provide professional recommendations
  • Sell and manage large residential remodeling and exterior improvement projects
  • Create detailed estimates, proposals, and project scopes
  • Assist homeowners with design ideas, material selections, and product choices
  • Source, vet, schedule, and manage subcontractors for each project
  • Coordinate timelines, materials, inspections, and project logistics
  • Maintain consistent communication with homeowners throughout the project
  • Ensure projects are completed with high quality workmanship and excellent customer service
  • Manage budgets, job costs, and profitability
  • Conduct site visits and oversee multiple projects simultaneously
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in residential construction, remodeling, or related field
  • Strong background in both sales and project management
  • Proven experience managing:
  • Kitchen remodels
  • Bathroom remodels
  • Deck construction
  • Roofing projects
  • Siding installation
  • Ability to source and manage subcontractors independently
  • Strong understanding of residential construction methods and materials
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to assist clients with design and product selections
  • Strong organizational and leadership abilities
  • Experience preparing estimates and managing project budgets
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary + commission/bonus opportunities
  • Expected earnings: $75,000 – $100,000 per year
