Job Description
Mr. Handyman of NW San Antonio and Helotes has an immediate opening for an Inside Sales Dispatcher (Customer Support) in San Antonio, Texas. As the Inside Sales Dispatcher, you will be responsible for day-to-day administrative tasks, answering and responding to customers through a variety of channels, streamlining business processes, and reporting for both residential and commercial customers. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in office management or inside sales, with a proven track record of developing new commercial business relationships. This role requires advanced typing and 10-key skills, as well as familiarity with MacOS and Windows.
Responsibilities:
Customer Support
- Create and maintain all customer files as required, address client inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Complete the sales call screen and create follow-ups or booked jobs for all incoming calls from customers.
- Conduct telephone contact with customers to follow up on customer surveys, service calls, and complaints.
- Drive revenue growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and delivering tailored solutions that meet customer needs.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records, generate reports, and prepare documentation as needed.
- Utilize the Dispatch board in ServiceTitan to verify all jobs for the day and prior day have been completed, invoices created, and payments added to ServiceTitan.
- For commercial customers, email the appropriate invoice and assist with collections from the commercial customers.
- Monitor vehicles to ensure proper maintenance is performed.
- Utilize advanced typing and 10-key skills to accurately input and manage data in various systems and spreadsheets.
Office Administration
- Oversee day-to-day office operations, including managing supplies, equipment, and facilities to ensure a well-maintained and organized workspace.
- Monitor supplies and advise the owner when an order for replacement stock is required.
- Coordinate and document all communication affecting customers, employees, or suppliers.
- Train and orient new employees. Potentially interview potential employees.
- Collaborate with other team members to streamline processes and enhance overall efficiency.
Business Development
- Develop and nurture relationships with clients to drive new business opportunities and maintain existing accounts.
- Stay up-to-date on product offerings, policies, and procedures to provide accurate and timely information to customers and team members.
Resource & Vendor Management
- Liaise with vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services, as well as negotiate contracts and agreements as needed.
- Create and maintain the weekly route schedule and communicate any changes to the schedule to the appropriate service technician as required.
- Provide assistance to service technicians calling for technical advice, additional help, directions, and so on.
Qualifications:
- Punctuality, dependability, neat appearance, professional grooming, thoroughness, consistency with service and solution-oriented perspective.
- Empathy and ability to listen, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in office management or inside sales, preferably in the home repair, maintenance, home services, or commercial maintenance industries.
- Proven track record of developing new commercial business relationships.
- Advanced typing and 10-key skills with exceptional accuracy and speed.
- Experience with MacOS and MS Office. ServiceTitan experience is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, excellent attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain and be available to work the required business hours established for serving customers, without tardiness, interruption, or early departure. Typical business hours are M-F 8am-5pm. Overtime may be necessary based on customer needs.
- Bilingual is preferred.

Handyman:
Mr. Handyman of NW San Antonio and Helotes has an immediate opening for a Service Technician in XXX, KS. As the Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, repairing, carpentry, and general handyperson tasks for residential and commercial customers. The ideal candidate will have experience in both home repair and commercial maintenance, as well as strong technical skills and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain an appearance and demeanor representative of the Mr. Handyman image, the Mr. Handyman level of quality, and the Mr. Handyman Way.
- Identify and diagnose issues with equipment and systems, using diagnostic tools and testing equipment as needed to determine the root cause of problems. Repair, replace, or restore faulty components or parts, equipment, and systems to proper working condition.
- Inspect own work in customers’ homes and/or businesses to ensure all work is thoroughly completed, meeting Mr. Handyman quality standards and meeting or exceeding customers’ expectations.
- Manage customer relations, including collection of payments (Credit, Cash, Check, PO, etc.), invoicing, and needed documentation utilizing iPads and provided software systems. Ensure organization and security are kept top of mind at all times.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while performing maintenance and repair tasks, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and following safety protocols. Report all injuries immediately. Injured workers must immediately be seen by a physician/clinic specified by the supervisor.
- Abide by all rules, regulations, and policies contained in the employee handbook, safety manual, and employment agreement, including active participation in identifying, reporting, and correcting situations affecting safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. Attend and participate in all staff meetings.
- Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and prevent future issues, including cleaning, lubrication, adjustments, and vehicles. Report all deficiencies or unusual characteristics of the Mr. Handyman vehicle or equipment.
Qualifications:
- Punctuality, dependability, neat appearance, professional grooming, thoroughness, consistency with service and solution-oriented perspective
- Empathy and ability to listen, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or vocational training in a related field preferred.
- 8 years of experience as a service technician in the home repair and/or commercial maintenance industry. Technicians should have their own tools to use.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and hand/power tools.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written in English. Bilingual is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, stretch, lift, and carry in a manner consistent with normal home or commercial repair or maintenance activities.
- Maintain and be available to work the required business hours established for serving customers, without tardiness, interruption, or early departure. Typical business hours are M-F 8am-5pm.
- Ability to read, interpret, and navigate maps throughout the assigned territory area.
Mr. Handyman of XXX is committed to providing safe work conditions. The service technician is expected to travel directly to customers’ homes without stopping by the Mr. Handyman office. At times it may be necessary to work overtime to complete a job for a customer. Service technicians usually work alone without direct supervision.
