What You’ll Do

As a Handyman Service Professional, you’ll:

• Complete small to medium repairs, maintenance, and handyman projects (typically 2 hours–2 days each)
• Communicate clearly with customers about what needs done and what it will cost
• Deliver professional, clean, respectful service inside homes and commercial properties
• Follow the Mr. Handyman Way to create great experiences and lifelong repeat customers
• Document jobs, collect payments, and request reviews

How Your Performance Is Measured

• Customer Satisfaction (NPS) – high scores and high review rates
• Revenue Generated – our office gets you in the door; you find ways to stay helpful
• Billing Accuracy & Job Costs – proper invoicing and material usage
• Quality of Work – recalls should be rare; we guarantee our work for one year

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years paid experience as a handyman or skilled tradesperson
• Strong in at least 3 of the following:
• Carpentry
• Drywall repair
• Painting (interior/exterior)
• Bathroom or kitchen repairs
• Flooring work
• Light plumbing or electrical (where legal)
• General home improvements
• Own your basic tools
• Clean, professional appearance
• Able to lift 50 lbs, work at heights, and work overhead when needed
• Insurable driving record
• Pass background and driving check
• Living within our service area (Lexington + surrounding towns)

You’ll be working alone often, so self-management and professionalism are a must.

Pay & Compensation

We pay a base hourly rate plus tiered commission, paid weekly.

• $16/hr base pay
• 12–14% commission on jobs once weekly revenue exceeds $5,000
• Real earning potential grows with skill, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
• Overtime available
• Weekend work available for additional income
