We’re looking for a friendly and outgoing office professional for our fast-paced office environment. 


As the Community Outreach & Event Representative, you will serve as the face of Mr. Handyman at public and private events. Your primary responsibility will be to engage with the community, educate potential customers about our services, and generate appointment leads through friendly, informative conversations.

This is a key role in building brand awareness and establishing local connections through home shows, business networking groups (BNIs), chamber events, local festivals, and vendor expos.


Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and manage Mr. Handyman booths at home shows, local festivals, community expos, and BNI events.
  • Represent the brand with professionalism and enthusiasm to prospective customers.
  • Act as a spokesperson for the company, confidently communicating our range of services and answering general questions.
  • Collect and record contact information for appointment follow-ups or consultations.
  • Hand out branded materials, brochures, and promotional items.
  • Schedule appointments or consultations directly on-site via phone, app, or provided scheduling tools.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to align messaging, promotions, and branding at each event.
  • Provide post-event feedback to the team on turnout, interest levels, and lead quality.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional booth appearance.
  • Occasionally assist in developing scripts or talking points for event presentations.

Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Outgoing, enthusiastic personality and strong public speaking ability
  • Ability to comfortably speak to individuals or small crowds
  • Well-organized and punctual
  • Comfortable using a smartphone, tablet, or laptop for basic data entry and appointment setting
  • Previous experience in sales, customer service, or event marketing preferred
  • Knowledge of home repair or handyman services is a plus (training provided)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
  • Available for some evenings and weekends, depending on event schedule

Benefits & Pay

The pay range for this position is commission and is dependent on your experience.
